The "visible" changes in a nutshell:

  • Documentation enhanced and fixed
  • Maximum teaser length is now configurable
  • Related posts, tags, cetagories and author are now references to nodes
  • Allows to add multiple categories to a post
  • Code cleanup

The RSS handling has seen some love as well:

  • RSS feed generation and ATOM import fixed
  • Moved RSS feed configuration to TypoScript
  • Export assigned categories in RSS feed
  • Allow to add a taxonomy domain to a category
  • Remove read more link from item description in RSS feed
