👋 Hi, I’m Ralf, a 26-year-old Software Engineer, currently based in Zurich, Switzerland. I'm working as a Platform Engineer at Cistec, where I focus on enabling our development teams to ship high-quality software efficiently and reliably — without worrying about deployment complexities or infrastructure overhead.

My journey in tech began in 2020 when I discovered a deep passion for software engineering, and I’ve been coding every day since. I specialize in building internal platforms, scalable backends, and developer tooling that helps teams move faster with confidence. Before my tech career, I studied business with a focus on behavioral economics and worked in Sales for Bosch in Germany.

💼 Experience Highlights:

Platform Engineer @ Cistec
Supporting development teams by managing infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines, and maintaining internal tooling to optimize delivery speed and reliability. Led Kubernetes workload migration for 11 development teams from Rancher Fleet to Argo CD using a scalable App-of-Applicationset pattern, totalling 1,000+ ArgoCD applications across 40+ on-prem clusters. On-call engineer for high-stakes healthcare systems.

Backend & DevOps Engineer @ Lipa
At this Swiss seed-stage fintech/bitcoin startup, I owned key DevOps infrastructure and built production microservices with Java Quarkus for Bitcoin Lightning integrations. Delivered secure, observable, and scalable systems — including Bitcoin Lightning payment infrastructure and SLO-based monitoring.

Domaćin Zgrade App (Serbia)
Co-built an app to enable over 5,000 tenats of a real estate firm in Serbia to stay informed about events and vote on building-specific decisions. I designed and implemented the backend in Go and handled all aspects of infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance at scale.

🛠️ Core Interests & Tech:

  • Cloud-native technologies & DevOps
  • Kubernetes (my favorite!)
  • Backend development with Go/Java
  • Infrastructure as Code & CI/CD automation
  • Making ArgoCD better

Let’s connect on LinkedIn — I’m always open to new opportunities, especially in platform engineering, developer infrastructure, and startup engineering roles.
