Hi there!

❌ As noted in our README, js.org is focusing on granting subdomain requests to projects with a clear relation to the JavaScript ecosystem and community.

Projects such as personal pages, blogs, and Discord bot pages will no longer be accepted. Projects such as NPM packages, libraries, tools that have a clear direct relation to JavaScript, will be accepted when requesting a JS.ORG subdomain.

Need a subdomain for a project that doesn't fall within the criteria for JS.ORG? Take a look at https://github.com/js-org/js.org/wiki/Similar-Services

hi there!

this project has a clear relation to JavaScript, it’s built entirely with JS and specifically highlights usage of Bun and JavaScript itself. i've also reviewed the website and didn’t find any explicit mention that Discord bots are excluded.

additionally, the subdomain I’m requesting (watchtower.js.org) doesn't seem to be that of a widely requested name, so it’s unlikely to conflict with other projects that might have a stronger JavaScript connection if that's the problem

also, if that helps, i have no intent in making this paid or closed-source. it's under a free license and will stay like that forever

Our stance for a long time now has been that we do not accept Discord bots, among many other things.

Just because it is built with JS doesn't mean it is something that'll be of more interest to JS developers than anyone else. I think your target audience is Discord users who will use your bot, not JS developers.

If this were a bot framework, like Discord.js, this would be a different conversation. That would be relevant to the community/ecosystem.

by the way do you know any alternatives that might work for this?
