Question: How to check products category?

Hi!
I want to check products category.
Apparently that's not a property so I have to check browser_nodes and that's cool but I don't know what exactly products browse_node property returns. It's property of product but it return list of nodes children... when node of product should be a leaf. 
I would be very grateful if someone explained it to me
