I'm currently trying to port the theme to use in the file manager called Yazi, and would like some guidance on what colours the file types should be as I have no precedent to follow.

The nvim-tree configuration only tells me what colour directories are supposed to be, but I have no idea what the colours of other file types should be.

The default file categories in Yazi are (the image shows the default colour with the Bluloco Light terminal theme):

  • Archives (zip, 7z, rar)
    Image

  • Documents (pdf, doc, docx)
    Image

  • Video and Audio (mp4, mkv, mp3, flac, m4a)
    Image
    Image

  • Images (jpg, png, gif)
    Image

  • Executables (exe, elf, bin)
    Image

  • Orphans (links that point to nothing)
    Image

  • Files that aren't in any of the above categories
    Image

  • Directories (folders)

Of course, if you would like a specific kind of file to have a specific colour, like a red colour for PDF files, and blue for WAV files, you can do that as well.
