The number of blocked requests is not shown on the toolbar icon

• uBO Lite is the only extension.
• using a new, unmodified browser profile.

Description

It's very hard to understand is uBO Lite blocks something in Safari: no toolbar icon count, no additional information on the dashboard like in the uBO. It would be nice to see at least the icon count.

A specific URL where the issue occurs.

e.g. https://www.youtube.com
There is always something to block there :)

Did you uncheck "Show the number of blocked requests on the toolbar icon"?

Last I checked, the count badge was showing properly. The count badge in uBOL is controlled by the browser, there is no code in uBOL to update it, there is only code to toggle it on/off according to corresponding setting in the dashboard. Since you are using a beta version of Safari, this could be a regression in the browser -- there is no such reported issue for other browsers.

No the setting is enabled

That's possible, but it's strange that another extension has a toolbar icon count.

Extensions can control their badge. uBOL does not, since it's the DNR API doing it, meaning there is no need for uBOL to constantly wake up its service worker just for the sake of updating the badge count, which anyway is information out of reach of uBOL (because of the "declarative" nature of the API).

Understood. I will post an update if the behavior of Safari Beta changes. For now, the badge count is not working for me.
