it seems to call the value at the beginning and at the end of the command

I found the solution! I modified the Netmiko source code. The location of Netmiko within the container is:

/usr/local/lib/python3.12/site-packages/netmiko/

There are configuration files for different platforms under that directory. Taking cisco_ios as an example, the file to modify is

/usr/local/lib/python3.12/site-packages/netmiko/cisco/cisco_ios.py

In that file, find the session_preparation method:

    def session_preparation(self) -> None:
        """Prepare the session after the connection has been established."""
        cmd = "terminal width 511"
        self.set_terminal_width(command=cmd, pattern=cmd)
        self.disable_paging()
        self.set_base_prompt()

You just need to comment out the lines

#self.set_terminal_width(command=cmd, pattern=cmd)
#self.disable_paging()

I achieved this by mapping the Netmiko location to the host machine using a volume mount. Here is the modification in my compose.yaml file:

        volumes:
            - /etc/hyperglass/netmiko:/usr/local/lib/python3.12/site-packages/netmiko
