I noticed that there might have been some load logic changed related to the autoplay attribute. In an older version of Shaka (e.g. 4.9.14) buffering started immediately after load on CTV devices, but in 4.15.2 it seems like the autoplay attribute has to be set to true to achieve the same effect. I checked the release notes and didn't see anything appearing to be related to this, and just wanted to check if this change was intentional Turns out I reversed my version numbers and checked 4.14.9 to 4.15.2, so apparently I missed a ton of release notes. Based on this issue it sounds like this change was intentional, but I'll leave this question open for now in case there's anything else worth mentioning.

Yes, what you mentioned is true, there was a regression that caused it to work without autoplay, but it was a bug. The current behavior is as expected. Sorry about that!

@avelad do you know if this has always been the intended behavior? I.e., the behavior we were seeing with 4.9.14 was actually due to a bug?

Since the issue I tagged was a part of cmcd related code that didn't exist in 4.9.14, I was having trouble finding where the equivalent logic existed prior in 4.9.x.

Not a huge deal if you don't know off the top of your head -- Just curious.
