Add a Fullscreen Button to the Desktop Site

The mobile and app versions of memories have a full-screen option for the image viewer. But on the desktop site you are forced to used the browser's fullscreen option which is often clunky.

Describe the solution you'd like
Add a fullscreen button to the desktop site image viewer. When you enter a slideshow it already puts the client in fullscreen so it does not seem like it would be a hard feature to implement.

What exactly is the problem with pressing [F11]?

However, in mobile view there is also no full screen button for the image viewer. So, yes having this as a button in the image viewer itself (in addition to sharing, delete, favorite etc.) may help.

Did you realize, that when you start a slideshow, you can still navigate manually? So maybe a "show fullscreen" button should just start the slideshow but without automatic change of the image.

The problem is that [F11] full screen is just a little annoying because if you move your mouse to the top of the screen it take you out of fullscreen. Which normally isn't a problem, but given that all the controls are up there, like the info button, it gets annoying. [F11] does work, but as it's a slideshow, being able to put it in fullscreen would be a common use.

Moving the mouse to the top does not change anything here. Only a little "(X)" symbol appears to allow leaving fullscreen view if you want to. So I think, that depends on the browser as well. Technicall there is no difference between requesting fullscreen in JavaScript or pressing F11, the result is the same.

Ok, I see now. After doing some testing I figured out the Firefox (what I use) and Chrome/Chromium Browsers (what you are probably using) work differently. Firefox automatically exits fullscreen mode when you move your mouse to the top of the screen (in F11 fullscreen), revealing the tab bar and address bar. But when you fullscreen through a Java Script element it is locked in fullscreen and can only be exited by a key press (esc, f11, double click) or using the fullscreen button again. But chrome/chromium browsers treat them both the same and give you the "x" button when you move your mouse to the top.

I was not aware of this difference, so if this isn't something you are interested in changing, I can always switch to a Chromium browser if it annoys me too much.

Indeed - Firefox differentiates between manual full screen and full screen requested via JavaScript. In Vivaldi it is like you would prefer it. This browser does show anything when moving the mouse up to the screen border, even when going fullscreen using [F11].
