How to trigger agent from the outside?

Hey!

I am writing some sort of news analysis based on the ElizaOS. I am wondering, what is the simplest way to trigger the Agent for an action from the outside? Let's say I have Kafka with event (or any other source) and I want the agent to scan Kafka topic (every 5 seconds lets say) and if there are new messages, create news analysis based on them and publish to twitter.

Can I do so anyhow?
