Aerospike key value store is a prominent solution used by many enterprise organisations.

Having an auto instrumentation for the same would be great.

Auto instrumentation of Aerospike operations.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Custom Instrumentation Module or using @WithSpan annotiation.

Additional context
The above can be implemented as a database.

@mateuszrzeszutek I think I can help with the instrumentation since we need this in our organisation as well.

What do you suggest should I create an extension first at my end and then use the same code in the repo?

As far as I have seen the extension API it should work for me to add new extension.

Whatever works for you really -- if it's easier for you to develop & test it as an extension, go ahead 👍
The extension API was purposefully designed in a way that makes it possible to implement instrumentations outside of the javaagent repo.

@Periecle sure that will be great it is a much needed thing even for our organisation, but I have not been getting time to contribute here lately.
