Hyprland crashes whenever I open up multiple windows

like using super+enter or super+q or other key binds, hyprland would just crash and return to the login interface. Even when i use thunar to rename files, it will just crash

If you are using archlinux, just switch to the package hyprland-git instead of hyprland. Because the latest version fixes the bug according to this answer

Doubt it, more likely mix matched -git hyprutils and repo package with ABI breaking, dont mix match -git with repo packages.

You are right maybe. I met this issue when I had both hyprland and other -git packages (e.g. hyprutils-git) in my system.

-git libraries and not just hyprland requires correct build order, and rebuilds of dependencies when ABI breaks or .so.ver bumps. otherwise everything from crashes to undefined behaviour happens
