Changing displays with mouse clicked down makes it impossible to release mouse (after v0.77 upgrade)

After upgrading to v0.77 from v0.69, I'm noticing a breaking issue in the mouse handling. I have two displays on output A (A.1 and A.2). I can correctly move the mouse between those two outputs and output B 👍. However, if I move my cursor between two displays on the same output, e.g. A.1 and A.2, with the mouse-button depressed, then the mouse is permanently pressing as long as the cursor is on the same display.

A concrete example: dragging a window from A.1 to A.2 using v0.77 is impossible since you can't "let go" of the window after you've moved it to the new display. Using a native mouse/trackpad does not have this issue and I did not have this issue on v0.69 that I was using previously.
