"Maintenance mode" per newt

I know that I have to switch one site off as the power provider is replacing power poles. Our battery backups will not be able to carry on for 8+hrs. This site has a newt that will be offline until tomorrow morning (12hrs).

It would be great if I can switch a newt to "maintenance mode" and all resources per that node will be redirected to a static page hosted on the pangolin server informing the user why he/she cannot reach the page.
It could even have a setting to enable it automatically as in: IF "newt offline" THEN "maintenance mode" = ON
