The first thing to fix would be to find out why Flycast can't save its settings. Enabling Then you need to find the VMU save files on your PC and rename them. In Retroarch they are named like There are 2 ways to import them to your phone:

Oh cool, thanks, I can work with that. I've tried reinstalling the app a few times, the per game vmu setting doesn't get a checkmark no matter how much I tap on it. It does get a very slight blue hue on the square box, but it doesn't appear to persist the next time I run the app or even if I just close the settings with done and then go back to the settings to check it. Is that how it works now, it works even if I can't see an indication of it so importing the files should work regardless of it showing up with a checkmark there or not? Other settings do work, from remapping to video. Edit: ok so the UI was just a bit weird, brief taps caused the above behavior but holding it a bit got the checkmark on! It all works, I transfer my PSO, SOA and Record of Lodoss War saves just fine! Thanks! |

I bought a nice gamepad for my phone (8bitdo Ultimate Mobile) and thought to play my emulators on that instead of the PC but I can't find a way to do this and I don't wanna restart games like PSO and Skies of Arcadia. I would use the RA core on my phone too but it doesn't run as nice and in the case of Skies of Arcadia (and likely others) it crashes at points if I use vulkan with per pixel sorting.
The stand alone app is in comparison much closer to the pc core in features and performance, only some more glitches in a few games like Jet Set Radio and Virtua Striker 2 that I have found so far, most other games seem flawless with the same native quality settings I go for.
I thought I could import the save files but the folders of the app seem well locked down on Android so I can't just move the files over from the PC and even if I could the per game vmu option doesn't seem to stick or doesn't stay enabled and even trying to use that import home folder function and putting some saves there and trying to enable per game vmu didn't appear to do anything.
Any help would be appreciated!
I tried getting AI bot help and they took me on a wild goose chase, having to rename files with _ instead of . or as .vms instead of .bin only for them to concede it's impossible because of the folder being locked down and the per game vmu issue, they just hallucinate bs.
