Small Observation, Android Stand Alone vs Windows RA core - Aiforce Delta Rolling Demo #2276

I just checked the latest master (and dev) builds on x64 and I didn't notice any crash in the 2 demos of this game. Which version of the core are you using? Many driving games (including some flight combat ones) have issues with the demos when emulated. But platform-specific differences should be minimal. |

Oh hi, I'm on windows 11 with retroarch 1.22.2 and always update to the latest core the auto updater gets, ocd-like. I don't mean the core crashes, the plane in the rolling demo crashes, causing explosions, but the rolling demo (and the plane itself) continues as if that's fine. But on my Poco X7 Pro it doesn't have this behavior. I took screenshots just now (after updating again). Atm it says the core is 05b270f. It basically touches the ground (or the ship as the rolling demo ends) causing a string of explosions as long as it's touching down then it continues off. In both these places it just flies well above on my Poco X7 Pro. It repeats when flying inside the tunnels in the 2nd demo. I just tried Le Mans and the demo behaves the same across platforms there. Oh, also, USA game versions in all cases here. |

I was testing the performance and stuff on my Poco X7 Pro and saw that it generally performs and looks better stand alone (with same settings) so I went with that and then noticed that Airforce Delta's rolling demos work correctly on my phone but not so in the Flycast core on my PC. In that game on the latter the plane basically crashes though the rolling demo continues even after it has caused explosions from collisions since I guess it doesn't take damage or anything. It crashes twice when the camera is top down over an island and at the end of the first demo it crashes into the enemy ship. And on the second rolling demo it crashes when flying through the tunnels before exiting. But on my phone the plane doesn't crash at all and flies flawlessly (though Idk if it's 1:1 with a real Dreamcast either). I'll try Test Drive Le mans later to see if that one's rolling demo is also right on my phone, the car gets stuck on my PC there every time like it's taking a wrong turn. On the downside even with vulkan and per pixel 128 layers etc., Daytona has visual glitches on my phone. The RA core was a lot worse though, the stand alone is way better, most other games seem to work properly. Ignore me if that's normal, I didn't think there would be such differences between platforms, just performance and visual stuff (like the glitches in Daytona or the core's glitches on the phone vs perfect visuals on PC).
