whenever i remove stuff from the templates, and rerun wal, it doesn't get deleted from .cache/wal how do i do this? i tried reading through the documentation but i have no idea how.
im editing .cache/wal/config-wal-st.h and i'm desperately trying to remove everything including and after unsigned int defaultbg

also when changing stuff in a template file, those changes do not transfer to .cache/wal

and yes, i am using .config/wal/templates

same here.
the edit in .config/wal/templates cannot sync to .cache/wal/

ok seems wal will read and run script directly rather than rewrite and put it in .cache/wal/
