Description
Hi @cdfoundation/toc,
The process to elect CDF TOC Project Representatives is currently being documented and it will be similar to the process for electing CDF TOC End User Representatives, documented on this pull request.
The process to follow during this year's CDF TOC Project Representatives election will be similar to the one that was followed for 2021 elections which can be seen here.
A pull request will be sent to document the process together with the timeline.
However, there are a few items your input is appreciated.
Voter Eligibility
2021 elections considered people who had 10 or more commits to any CDF project over the past year (prior to May 1 2021), via data in LFX Insights, as eligible voters.
Additionally, a voter registration form was available for the community members whose contributions may not be captured through the above methodology.
The plan for 2023 elections is to follow the same process and apply the same criteria to determine eligible voters.
A voter registration form will also be used to ensure community members could submit their requests to be included as voters.
Would TOC like to include other types of contributions in addition to the number of commits while determining eligible voters as there are other ways to contribute to our projects? (e.g., PR activities)
Term
The term for the project representatives will be 2 years, 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2025.
Would TOC like to keep the 2 years terms?
Term Limits
There is currently no term limit for the TOC representatives.
Would TOC like to introduce term limits? (e.g., an individual can be a TOC project representative for maximum two terms in row regardless of the project)
