Using format characters in Transports

When using a transport is there a way to get the msg to be formatted like the message is when it's logged to the console.

In the transport i will get something like
args = ["some message %s", 207]
msg = "[app:log] some message %s 207"

And what is printed to the console is
app:log some message 207 where 207 replaces the %s format character.

In the transport i want to be able to send the formatted message to sentry breadcrumbs.

Is that possible?
