How to wait for cloudfront deployment to finish

I am adding behaviours to cloudfront distribution and want to wait till the deployment is complete. Tried using waiters like this but doesn't work. See part of the code that I am using:

inp := &cloudfront.UpdateDistributionInput{
        DistributionConfig: config,
        Id:                 "mydist-id",
        IfMatch:            dist.ETag,
}

_, err = svc.UpdateDistribution(context.Background(), inp)
if err != nil {
        fmt.Println("Error while updating distribution", err)
        return err
}
distDeployedWaiter := cloudfront.NewDistributionDeployedWaiter(svc)
getDistIn := &cloudfront.GetDistributionInput{
      Id: "mydist-id",
}
err = distDeployedWaiter.Wait(ctx, getDistIn, time.Duration(1*time.Minute))
if err != nil {
      fmt.Println("Error while updating distribution in given duration..", err)
      return err
}
return nil

Can someone guide how to achieve this?

Can you elaborate more on what doesn't work here?

My best guess is 1 minute is not enough time to update your distribution. I set mine to 5 min and it the waiter waited successfully.

Thanks @RanVaknin I was very quick in posting the question. I had issue where it wasn't waiting for the time duration mentioned. Seems to be working now. :)
