Set status when crating an issue?

the issue list command has a -s to filter the status of a ticket however I notice that issue create has a -s but is not for setting the status so my question is. How would you set the status when creating a ticket by the cli? I can see that issue create has -y but it is unclear to me if that will do the same as -s for list so what would be the best way to set the status given the lack of an equivalent to list -s ?

The option y is to set the priority. You'd need to use jira issue move to update the status of the ticket once its created.

It would be great if I could set that when I created it as well. For example, -S<some status name> then it will create and then call jira issue move under the hood hood right after creation given that at that point it still holds a reference to the newly created ticket

Closing as there is no plan of working on this atm. However, I'm open to pull requests if anyone wishes to contribute.
