Meeting Notes

• As a part of product roadmap, Alberto gave an overview of the factors that we are aiming to address at Component Level (Bento), Page Level (AMP), Site Level (Hemmingway), with respect to helping PX Plugin users achieve good Page Experience (PX) for their site visitors.

• While referring to a few future goals/actionable items, Maitreyie shared the following vision board giving a bullseye view of target items at primary, secondary and tertiary level - https://miro.com/app/board/o9J_lDrqlWU=/
• Weston mentioned about finding a balance between the ongoing work planned for the plugin and working towards the near future updates
• Echoing Weston’s thought, Alain mentioned about going through the process of identifying and taking the time to fix any technical debt/existing issues which would in turn prove as a good base to build the new features
• With regards to having a sitewide checklist (factors affecting PX), Weston mentioned using some information available from Site Health along with additional checks that the plugin could do. We need to find balance between sitewide checklist in the WordPress plugin and WordPress Site Health feature.
• We also touched the topic of integration of Bento Optimizer as SaaS service through AMP Insights system.
• As per the team modules seen in the above sheet, the weekly syncs could be further divided into focused module wise meetings. Rahul proposed the Bento component developement can be start in parallel and have their own team-level meeting separate from WordPress plugin team meeting.
• We also finalised collaboration tools as below:
  • Github discussion threads — to record meeting notes
  • Slack shared channel — to collaborate across teams
• We are exploring Zenhub for product management activities for a year.
