At Kibana, the plugin system is unstable as for now and does not support semver. The simplest change to make this plugin work is to match the "kibana" filed version number of this plugin's package.json as the corresponding Kibana version. It would be quite tedious to only change the version number every time a new release is created. I would try to find some workarounds or I have to follow the way Kibana does.
