Babel Plugin Makepot - No update on unchanged

When using the @wordpress/babel-plugin-makepot to update the .pot file for block js files,
is there a way to skip the update of the file if nothing has changed?
Currently just the timestamp gets updated

As I understand it, there is no way to do that. I think POT files are written unconditionally.
