Motivation

Many NASA documentation pages and tutorials use various fsspec incantations for data access. These tutorials have a tendency to rarely be updated after publication but then become defacto community standards that everyone follows. It may be worth investigating what kinds of performance and stability improvements we might see by migrating some of these obstore.

Thanks for the links! I joined the call and talked with @betolink about Obstore-Zarr-xarray etc. He said he was going to create a new issue in earthaccess and tag me, Max, and Sean.
